ibis Styles Tallinn operates as a responsible hotel and in all its activities adheres to Accor Group’s environmental strategy, which has become a roadmap for sustainable development for us. Our goal is to make daily hotel services environmentally friendly, inspiring, and conscious – while offering guests a high-quality experience.
Resource Conservation
Water The hotel uses water-saving solutions in daily cleaning, kitchen, and rooms:
newly acquired showerheads and faucets have flow restrictors, which help reduce consumption without sacrificing comfort;
cleaning processes are optimized to reduce water waste;
guests are informed about the option to change towels and bed linen, enabling them to contribute to resource conservation.
Go Green, Skip the Clean program – we reward environmentally conscious guests with loyalty program points if they opt out of daily cleaning.
Energy Energy is used wisely and thoughtfully: in the renovated part of the hotel, where possible, LED lighting is used;
Waste Systematic waste sorting takes place at the hotel:
clearly marked bins are available for guests for different types of waste (organic, packaging, mixed);
organic waste is collected in the kitchen, which is sent for composting;
single-use plastic products are eliminated and replaced with reusable or natural materials.
we reduce paper usage and use QR code solutions for sharing information.
Circular Economy and Creative Reuse At ibis Styles Tallinn hotel, we combine environmental sustainability with creativity. Many interior design elements and accessories are made from recycled materials, for example:
the furniture from our renovated rooms has been given a new life in other leisure establishments
decorative details in the restaurant and lobby tell the story of reuse;
we use soap and shampoo dispensers in hotel rooms and no longer offer single-use miniature toiletries
Local and Responsible Supply Chain Our hotel prefers local and sustainably operating suppliers:
a large part of the food in the restaurant comes from Estonian producers;
when selecting suppliers, in addition to price, we also evaluate environmental impact, origin, and packaging;
we promote a responsible purchasing policy, based on the ethical principles and purchasing policy of Duco Hotels and Accor Group
Environmental Awareness Among Guests and Staff We believe that change begins with awareness – therefore:
we share information in rooms and public areas about the environmental activities implemented at the hotel;
we encourage guests to make simple yet impactful choices: we use QR codes and friendly sign designs that encourage participation;
we regularly train all our staff so that every employee is aware of the impact of sustainability efforts and feels proud of them.
